Alicia/Silmeria, Rufus and Dylan are surrounded by the troups of Dipan castle. But Lezard Valeth, the mages' new apprentice, helps them escape with a teleportation spell.
Lezard informs them that King Barbarossa and The Three Mages have delved into dangerous research,including the Sovereign's Rite, demonic transformation, and time travel, and plan to use the Dragon Orb to create a new world, free of the gods' interference.
