Weeknight newscast from the then-CBS affiliate serving the West Palm Beach television market. Commercials are included.
In 1989, the station lost the CBS affiliation to then-ABC affiliate WPEC. ABC in turn moved to independent WPBF, which had recently signed on the air. This made WTVX an independent station. News production would cease later that year.
The station became a UPN affiliate in 1995, and a secondary WB affiliate in 2001. In 2006, it became a CW affiliate.
In 2008, a 10pm newscast was produced for the station by then-sister station KUTV in Salt Lake City. At one point it was moved to 6:30pm. It was cancelled in 2009.
In 2012, WTVX became a sister station of WPEC. In 2014, WPEC began production of a new 10pm newscast on WTVX, which continues to this day.
