Some rare footage of the American Rock Festival in Kalamazoo Michigan, May 27th, 1984, and broadcast on "The New Music" a Canadian TV show that was the forerunner to MuchMusic (which would launch only a few months later in August).
The footage includes interviews and brief live footage of the bands playing that day: Triumph, Ozzy Osbourne, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Night Ranger, Motley Crue, and Accept. There is also some ultra-rare footage of Triumph performing at the US Festival in 1983, showing their introduction to the stage and performing of "Too Much Thinking", which was cut out of their officially released footage of the US Festival concert.
I received this years ago on VHS, digitized it and now sharing it as some of the only footage of the festival on Youtube from what I can tell. This is everything I have, exactly as I received it.
Time stamps:
0:00 - Triumph takes to the stage at the US Festival and starts playing "Too Much Thinking"
0:45 - Triumph on stage at the American Rock Festival
2:14 - Ratt interview
2:53 - Accept interview & live
4:14 - Night Ranger live
5:17 - Motley Crue interview
8:34 - Quiet Riot live & interview
10:37 - Ozzy Osbourne interview
13:05 - Triumph flies in for the gig & interview with Rik & Gil
15:24 - Triumph performing "Never Surrender"
(Apologies - two segments of audio had to be removed due to copyright issues with Sony Music. These are between roughly 1:47-2:08 Ratt and 12:05-13:07 Ozzy. Sorry about that. If someone desperately wants to see those segments complete send me a message and I'll see what I can do)
