-------------------------
I have been using the Bestway Power Steel above ground pool for 3 years now and so far I can say that the quality of the product is good with very minor failure.
Year 1: The only problem I encountered in year 1 is the water leaking in the T-joint. I was able to quickly fix this issue with a silicon self adhesive tape.
Another issue I found at the end of year 1 is that the U-frame have rusted inside the flap. This is mostly due to the water staying inside the flap and the thin powder coating that the metal have. If you have not installed your pool yet, I would suggest that you grab a metal paint and add another 2 or 3 layer on this frame. There are some rust as well on some of the connection point but I was able to easily sand it out and spray it with another layer of paint to prevent the rust from growing.
Year 2: The second year, some of the plastic clamps that are mostly under the sun became brittle and breaks. So make sure to have a replacement clamp on year 2.
This year, I also noticed that the inside of the U-frame have rusted as well as there some metal rust flakes that came out of the frame when I took it out of the box. I purchased a rust converter paint that converts the rust into a hard surface paintable metal and just sprayed into the holes liberally. After the paint dried out, I also sprayed it with rust preventer. After using the pool for year 2 and opening it back for year 3 I did not see anymore evidence of rust from the frame so I can say that the rust converter and rust preventer procedure have worked. So, if you haven't installed your pool yet, I would suggest that you do this first to protect your frames.
Year 3: Hoses becomes brittle and started forming leaks. When I assembled the pool for the 3rd year, I noticed that the hose have developed some holes. I thought that I fixed it by cutting the damaged part but after a few hours of having the pump running, small leaks developed in some area. I was able to fix them by wrapping it with a silicon self adhesive tape but after a few days, another section started leaking. So I have to place an order for replacement hoses so I can replace them before it start bursting. With that experience I can say that the hose will last you a good 2 years and will need to be replace on the 3rd year.
Thanks for Watching.
