Animal tourism is huge in Thailand.
While it's famous for it’s beautiful temples, breathtaking beaches, cuisine and nightlife, Thailand is also a big draw for animal enthusiasts.
Although I didn't seek out elephant trekking or tiger photo-ops, I did find myself at a few places by chance - and used it as an opportunity to film.
Avoiding questionable animal tourism was tricky at times. Taking part in a guided half-day, full-day or even multi-day tour can be an excellent way to experience many attractions in a short time. But, while there may be several places that you want to see, there could also be a few that you’d rather not see or support. So, be aware of this issue and make sure to read the full itinerary before you purchase and ask if you’re not sure.

Journey and Explore is a travel channel I put together to share places I've explored as I journey through Asia. While most of my videos are on the lighter side, I felt this needed to be shared too.
