3. RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction): This test directly detects the genetic material of the dengue virus in the blood.

It is a highly sensitive method and can identify the virus even in the early stages of infection.

4. Hematocrit and Platelet Count: Dengue fever can decrease platelet count and sometimes a rise in hematocrit levels due to plasma leakage.

These parameters, along with symptoms and other test results, can provide valuable diagnostic information.

5. Complete Blood Count (CBC): A CBC measures various components of blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Abnormalities in these counts can be indicative of dengue infection.

6. Liver Function Tests: These tests assess the health of the liver, as dengue can sometimes affect liver function.
