Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington
All Souls Day Mass Invitation
November 2, 2022
On All Souls Day, the Church encourages prayer at the cemetery for deceased family members and friends and all who may still be experiencing their final purification in purgatory.
(Catechism 1031)
While the souls of our beloved dead can pray for us they can no longer pray for themselves.
That Spiritual Work of Mercy can be offered with hope, through the prayers and sacrifices of the Church on earth.
Come to the sacred grounds of Catholic Cemeteries for Mass to help the souls of our beloved dead “achieve the holiness necessary to enter into the joy of God” (Catechism 1054).
All are invited to come and pray.
