The CABLE WINE SYSTEMS™ is used throughout this sleek, modern basement wine cellar, in a design where visibility trumps bottle capacity.  Horizontal rows have been increased to the recommended maximum spacing of 6.5 inches and while tension cables stretch from floor to ceiling, the upper most row does not extend entirely up the cable, keeping bottles within arm’s reach and allowing for more overhead light to travel downwards.

With the ‘neck out’ configuration (where the cork end of the bottle is the prominent feature) installed in front of the window looking in on the wine cellar, the increased spacing allows wine bottles to be easily identified and transparency through the window maintained.  The selection of warmer tones, like the Brushed Nickel finish seen here, beautifully balance the minimalist aesthetic in this contemporary basement wine cellar.
