Marooned on Mars is the first episode of the original Commander Keen trilogy which was published by Apogee in 1990 for PC plattforms running on DOS. It was a clever move to make this episode shareware back in the days, because many people were convinced to invest their money in the best plattformer on PC of the early nineties. The original gameplay runs smoothly, scrolling feels natural thanks to Carmack, the mastermind behind ID Software and this game series. In this episode you'll have to collect four items before returning back to earth, realizing there is another big threat in the galaxy still threatening the planet - the Vorticons.
