You may have heard that video games have lots to teach us in terms of user experience design. There are definitely lessons to be had from game design and games' user interface designs; but what really stuck with me were the things I learned by actually playing a certain genre of games - fighting games.
Here are some basic UX and UI design principles I've learned through playing games like Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat at a competitive level; and practical applications of some these principles in real world projects.
