Justice Interrupted Film Project

The Justice Interrupted film project was initiated by the Diocese of Olympia several years ago as part our congregation’s commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of Executive Order 9066 in 2017. Many members of our congregation who experienced the impact of the order directly were interviewed, and hours of footage collected. Because the film project was larger than anticipated, it was delayed after the first installation. To ensure the project is completed, St. Peter’s member Kyle Kumasaka has graciously begun to edit the interviews, and assemble them into short films, helping to preserve and share our community’s story! We will be posting one each week in the coming weeks for you to watch.
