IDEC’s SE2L Safety Laser scanner is the smallest of its class, while still being one of the best performers in its category. It features a 270 degree sensing angle, a 5m safety protection zone, a 20m warning zone, and customizable protection patterns.
Up to four SE2L devices can be connected together using a master and slave configuration. Using 4 devices together is ideal for four-sided detection, allowing you to create a safe perimeter. The distance and shapes of these zones can be further configured using the SLS Project Designer software.
The long distances that the SE2L can cover makes it ideal for use with a variety of industrial robots and machinery. Also available is a dual protection mode, which enables the SE2L to safeguard two different zones for two robots at once. This can potentially reduce the number of laser scanners and light curtains by half.
