As a sandwich lover, It doesn’t matter where I go, I’m always on the hunt for a unique, or different Banh Mi experience on my travels around Vietnam.
I found this little local sandwich hall in Hue that served up some interesting Banh Mi in an unusual atmosphere. The owner has an open cooking / sandwich making station near the front of the open-air shop, and she’ll make just about whatever you want right in front of you. She also warms the bread up on a charcoal grill after making it, so it’s always crispy and warm.
The seating area in this place is a bit odd as well. The place kind of feels like a beer-hall as it’s a large open space with tiny stools spread around the room, to gather around. It’s an interesting experience and it’s insanely inexpensive at only 10-15k VND.
