The Los Angeles Times once described Loyall Newell's operation as the 'Smithsonian' of the pool and billiards business. Over the last 60 years, he has refurbished pool tables for hundreds of people in the U.S. When 'billiards' went out, he bought those tables and converted them to pool tables. Now his son is carrying on the tradition, building pool tables for the rich and famous. But it all started with 85-year-old Loyall Newell of Clay Center, Kansas.
