SUNDAY, September 13 was the date originally pencilled in for our 2020 TG4 All-Ireland Finals, and our Junior decider at Croke Park would have thrown in at 11.45am, in normal circumstances!
In recent years, we’ve had record attendances flocking through the Croker turnstiles for the annual Junior, Intermediate and Senior Finals, rising from what was then a new peak of 46,286 in 2017 to a phenomenal 56,114 last year.
Our 2020 TG4 Championships will begin next month and run until December 20, when Croke Park will host our Intermediate and Senior Finals.
However, we want to mark the original September 13 date and its significance, and we’re asking you to upload a picture of you with your TG4 flag that you may have collected at a previous final, or to tell us about your best TG4 All-Ireland Final memory, using the hashtag #ProperFan.
We’ll have a prize for the best entries using #ProperFan and this very special video charts the remarkable rise of Peil na mBan alongside our Championship sponsors and retail partners, TG4.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of All-Ireland Finals screened LIVE by TG4, dating back to the beginning of our fruitful and long-standing partnership in 2001.
