Dragon, also known as Long (Simplified Chinese: 龙; Traditional Chinese 龍) is an animal appearing in Eastern and Western myths. In Buddhist scriptures, the Dragon is one of the eight sets of Heavenly Dragons, both Eastern and Western, the image of the dragon species is represented for the legendary mascot with extraordinary power. But in the West, there are also many people think that the Dragon is merely a real dinosaur, not a fictional mascot. Dragons in Asian countries are much different from dragons in European countries and the Americas. In some Asian countries, dragons are described as having snakes, fish scales, lion's mane, deer horns, without wings but can fly, while dragons in Europe are described as a giant lizard, winged as a bat and know how to spit fire. Most Asian countries consider the dragon a sacred animal while European countries consider the dragon a symbol of evil and aggression.
