Sixty Minutes died a death with audience and with staff, both unimpressed with its embarrassing lack of professionalism and clunky production. In an effort to keep it alive, the show got a revamp: reorchestrated title music, a sofa instead of a desk, the fluffy items moved up, the hard news present in the headlines but pushed down the running order. It didn’t work.
Wales Today, in the meantime, is having none of this nonsense, sticking with the original title music and its own, slightly less well animated, version of the titles.
