The UK has a general election on Thursday June 8th 2017. When you turn up to vote, sometimes there will be people called tellers outside the polling station wearing party rosettes asking for information from you. Some people wrongly think that these people are canvassing for votes right outside the polling station, but that's not really what they are doing (or at least not what they should be doing).

In this video I will be answering the following questions: who are they? What are they trying to do? What are they not allowed to do? How can you complain if they are obstructing you from fairly casting your vote?

Thanks to 1st Wilmslow Scout Group for the use of the hall as a fictional polling station. The parties depicted in this video are not meant to represent the parties standing in the real general election. The colours and names of the fictional parties simply reflect which colour T-shirts I happened to be able to find before I filmed this. My reference to any of these parties does not indicate my support of any real parties in the general election.
