Firefighters are tackling a huge blaze in Salford.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) is at the scene of the fire at Clarendon Leisure Centre, on Liverpool Street.

They were called to the blaze just before 2.45am this morning (May 10).

The road remains closed while firefighters 'damp down any remaining hotspots and work with emergency service partners and the local authority to keep the scene safe.'

Greater Manchester Police are also on scene.
