Kim Henkel was my first screenplay teacher in college. He had very insightful criticism. Most people recognize Kim as the co-writer of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974), director/writer of "Last Night At The Alamo" (1983), and the director/writer of the infamous "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation" (1995). I went to high school with his son Ian and both Ian and my college friend James were extras in TCM: NG. Kim was kind enough to let me practice my interviewing skills with my first video camera on a subject that I enjoyed. This took place after my course review. We briefly talked about the unique twist of TCM: NG. He often carried an ominous tone during readings, so I thought he'd sound spooky discussing the illuminati too.
