French President Francois Hollande unveiled a plaque on Tuesday to honor the victims of the attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, as France marked a year since Islamic extremists targeted the satirical magazine as well as a kosher market on January 7-9, killing 17 people.
He then laid a wreath and unveiled a plaque on Tuesday at the spot in Paris where a police officer was killed outside the offices Charlie Hebdo.
He was accompanied by Prime Minister Manuel Valls and the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
Hollande later unveiled a plaque and laid a wreath on Tuesday outside the kosher supermarket.
