What does a typical day look like for an instructional designer?
This is a common question we hear from those exploring ID as their next career.
And it's no secret that IDs manage a lot of tasks. From conducting research, and answering emails, to meetings with clients and stakeholders. Not to mention the hours spent storyboarding, managing the LMS, and developing eLearning.
How do they do it all while keeping a good work-life balance?
To find out, my team and I surveyed over 1,000 instructional designers to understand what their day-to-day really looks like. And this week, Sabrina Gonzales breaks it down for us.
Using the data, she illustrates what an ID's day can look like and provides an hourly snapshot of how much time is spent on communication, research, and development (and the variations in between).
