Some facts:
What is danggit dried fish?
Cebu is known for its danggit (“dang-git”)—salted, sun-dried rabbitfish (aka spinefoot), which is abundant and native to the island's shallower waters. The fish are split open, cleaned, salted, and spread out on drying racks under the sun.
What is dried tuyo fish?
Tuyo refers to salted dried fish (usually herring); this is also known as stockfish in some countries. In the Philippines, tuyo is considered as a poor mans food because of its cheap price – however, this connotation has been expunged over the years since people of different social status learned to love and enjoy it.
