► Nurses marched on Downing Street this afternoon, demanding that the government take action over severe staff shortages.
The Royal College of Nursing delivered a petition with more than 200,000 signatures - saying the system is at breaking point.
According to the latest figures by independent charity the Health Foundation there are currently 44,000 nursing vacancies across England - the highest on record which it warns could hit 100,000 within a decade.
So what affect is this having on those on the front line? We spent the day at one hospital to find out.
