Evolution of Halit Ergench | 1970 - 2023
Halit Ergenç is a Turkish theatrical and film actor, who became famous all over the world for his main role - Sultan Suleiman - in the television series "The Magnificent Century". Halit was born in the Turkish capital in the spring of 1970. Examples for the boy served as husbands of his mother's sisters - an engineer and an operator. Halit admitted that he did not want to deal with art as his father did. So after graduating from Beşiktaş Ataturk School, he enrolled in the Faculty of Shipbuilding at Istanbul Technical University.
The first time Halit thought about the theatrical stage was made by the actor and director Haldun Dormen, who called him a "singing actor".
Since then, Ergench has played many bright roles both in his country and on Broadway. In 2006, Halit was asked to embody the main character on the screen in the television series "One Thousand and One Nights". But worldwide fame brought Ergench the role of Suleiman the Magnificent in the historical-biographical drama "The Magnificent Century. The actor approached the creation of the image very responsibly: re-read existing historical documents, looking for interesting facts, learning to wear costumes of the time.
His current wife, actress Bergusar Korel, Halit remembered from her childhood. He starred in movies with the girl's parents when she was still in school. Ergenç never thought they would be together.
In 2022, the actor, along with his wife and children, moved to London, where he bought a house.
