To launch WHO’s new guidance on suicide prevention, the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and WHO suicide prevention expert, Dr Alexandra Fleischmann, were joined by a panel of guests from around the world who are each, in their different ways, helping people have conversations about mental health and suicide. During the one-hour session, DJ Nash, Creator and Executive Producer of U.S. TV series, A Million Little Things, Jazz Thornton, mental health activist and co-founder of Voices of Hope, and Jonny Benjamin, author and founder of youth mental health charity Beyond, talked about the experiences that led them to become involved in suicide prevention activities and to help break down the stigma that still surrounds suicide.
