New York City’s Caribbean American community came together in a show of unity in downtown Manhattan last week for a special flag-raising celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Gathered at Bowling Green, New York City Mayor Eric Adams; Kenneth Bryan, Chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization and Minister of Tourism and Ports of the Cayman Islands; and members of the Caribbean consular corps were among many in attendance to celebrate the spirit and strength of the region and our people.
