It includes hidden dungeons, various weapons, magic spells, stealth mechanics, checkpoints for fast travel, and an online multiplayer mode for cooperative and player versus player combat. The game's development aimed to create an open-world experience inspired by Dark Souls, with Martin contributing the backstory and Miyazaki writing the in-game narrative.
