Mississippi State assistant coach Tyler Bratton looked more like an umpire arguing with fellow umps during his ejection from a college softball game for arguing an out call made when a runner left first base before the pitcher released the ball. Article: [ Ссылка ]

NCAA Softball Rule 12.14.2 requires runners to remain on their bases until the pitcher releases the pitch to the batter. Failing to do this results in a delayed dead ball (as signaled by the 1B Umpire), which then takes effect at the conclusion of play. In this case, the batter hit an apparent two-run home run, but the penalty for leaving early is an option for the defense: either take the result of the play (HR for this play) or declare "No Pitch" while putting out the offending baserunner and returning the batter to bat.
Arkansas ultimately won the contest, defeating Mississippi State 11-0 in five innings of play.
