It looks a bit strange, as empty as it is. But the locals have retaken the famous “lawn” for sports and leisure. You can find art projects, skaters and even windsurfers on this huge unused plain.

00:15 Umadum Ferris Wheel, Werksviertel Mitte
About 80 meters in height it will take you a full 30 minutes to get a very relaxing view over the Werksviertel Mitte. The area is supposed to be Munich’s next creative hotspot. A lot of it is still under construction but buildings are popping out of the ground like mushrooms. More: [ Ссылка ]

This is next level playground. A giant zip line over the historic Olympic stadium. While shooting through the air you’ll get awesome views of the stadium and sometimes the alps for free!

Yes, Tim is piloting this plane. And you can do it too. The flight school Jesenwang offers trail lessons for everyone who always wanted to pilot a plane. And it’s quite affordable, too! Prices start around € 100. Needless to say that Tim became a real student here. [ Ссылка ]

Restaurants had a hard time in the past months. So they were given parking lots to increase their outdoor seating area. A brilliant concept that we want to keep if someone finds a vaccine. This particular “Schanigarten” is located at our lovely friends place Le Florida. [ Ссылка ]

Less crowds. Less krauts. We have never seen this place so empty! Now it’s your time to come and see Munich’s most famous beer hall!

00:38 Olympic Tower, Olympic Park
No crowds either. No queues either. It was never that relaxed to visit Munich’s highest point. Highly recommended – and there is even a restaurant at the top that spins!

All the queues are gone. All but ONE. But this one is worth it. Definitely the best ice cream in town.

Perfect conditions for a proper daydrinking session. Bavaria’s answer to social distancing are beer tables! And they work very well.

01:01 Summer in the city, Königsplatz
Due to the lack of Oktoberfests this year the fairground rides are spread out over the whole city. Our favorite mini-fair is at the Königsplatz with a stunning ferris wheel right next to the famous gate. [ Ссылка ]
