Update - October 29, 2023: Very sad news coming from Hollywood last evening - actor Matthew Perry has passed away at his home earlier yesterday - he was 54. We thank all of you who have found this video clip and shared your thoughts on Matthew Perry's passing; we'll try to include a more formal review of his life and career on another clip (from Go On) that we have here in our Television Vanguard archives from October 2013.

We continue our reminiscing of the amazing series Friends, which celebrates its 25th anniversary of its NBC network debut later this coming weekend. The show debuted on September 22, 1994.

One our favorites here at Television Vanguard is Pat Crowley, and she guest starred on Friends on April 2, 1998 on 'The One With Rachel's New Dress.' She and John Bennett Perry, who is Matthew Perry's father, guest starred as Mr. and Mrs. Burgin, the parents of Rachel's boyfriend, played by Tate Donovan (who at the time, if memory is correct, was dating Jennifer Aniston.)
