This week I did a bit of a science experiment. Much like a shaman guides people through a journey to understand themselves, so too do some modern doctors. In this case I visited Dr. Koniver in Charleston to see what is really going on with this breakthrough new treatment for depression, anxiety and PTSD.
I'm doing all this because my wife Haley, was taken their 6 months ago to help get her out of own depression. It worked and I feel like I should tell the story to everyone because I have the amazing person I married back.
Some warnings: It doesn't work for everyone and it shouldn't be for everyone. If you are interested in this, there are lots of great science papers on it. Your doctor can easily look up the safety and efficacy of it. Ask them first. It is a new treatment though so they may not know about it right away.
