South Texas singer-songwriter, Michael Nero, writes and sings from a life that’s been “rode hard and put up wet.” For the most part, his songs are story based and are an ongoing attempt to awaken what he feels is the beauty that lies peacefully sleeping on the chest of the ugly. His music has been described as somewhere East of Memphis and West of Nashville, and unapologetically spans multiple genres… sometimes within the same song. Although a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, he’s not above using a virtual instrument or even the perfect loop to get the job done. From his perspective, it’s all about the song and he does whatever serves it best... including calling on these “Imaginary Friends.”
