If you are having issues with your tailgate not opening on command or sounds like it’s trying but won’t, it’s the actuator.
Most of these trucks have an extended warrantee on the actuator but my dealer was too far out so I did it myself.
You can send in the receipt to @Ford Motor Company and they will reimburse you for the part.
