Update on problems experienced with new Kawai Novus NV5S piano.
Problem with slow, stiff action and keys occasionally not returning to position: as of now resolved by the Kawai technician re-regulating the entire action. The keys now move more freely and quickly.
Pedal felt coming loose and disappearing into piano frame: as of now, resolved by Kawai technician re-attaching the felt with more glue, then clamping the felt to the frame for half an hour as it dries. I will re-visit this at a later date and advise if this is a permanent or temporary fix.
Sustain pedal creaking: Currently resolved by Kawai Technician lubricating some felt within the frame that was rubbing too much and generating the noise.
