My scrapyard found Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with Intel T7300 CPU @2.2 GHz and standard Intel Graphics. I upgraded it to 4 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD. RAM speed is limited to 800MHz (maximum DDR2) and the drive slot is limited to SATA1. Well... It's almost 11 years old now. Build in 04/2009, it still works very well.
Update 01/22: A few days after I uploaded this video, I installed Windows 10 Pro. It runs very well on this machine, but a bit slower than Windows 7. I use this machine for car diagnostic software, so it doesn't need to have any of the animations for drop down menue and desktop. So I did the adjustments for min animation and max performance.
In january '21, I replaced the battery with an aftermarket one. The old one did only last for about 30 minutes.
