Since 1997, the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) - a visa-like permit - has been
facilitating cross-border travel for APEC business operators. As APEC host this year,
Thailand has proposed expanding the range of businesses and professionals eligible
to apply for the card in order to further promote post-pandemic cross-border
