I have been training and competing using high bar squats for years, always been too stubborn and immobile to switch. Finally gave it an earnest try 6 days ago, and saw some potential. Worked it in to my program on Monday, 465x3x7 and it felt really light. Tonight I decided to see how far I could take it - started by hitting 500lbs for a set of 6, which was better than my high bar PR of 500x5. Decided to keep going and hit 550x1 575x1 585x1 (my previous PR) and then 600lbs for a new squat PR, one week into squatting low bar.
