The manipulations of a narcissist are aimed at getting us to believe their lies on a subconscious level so that they can exert complete power and authority over us.

A narcissist will not give you anything of value in a relationship once the "love bombing" phase is over because they are only interested in themselves. They will never recognize your accomplishments or acknowledge the hard work that you have put in. You might be able to mislead them with your charm and talent, but their attention is superficial. They want to get closer to you, so they will compliment your appearance and the accomplishments you have made.
