This style consists of me forcing myself to play by some rules I came up with to mimic the real life physics of a pendulum, making the game look and feel more realistic.
The rules are:
1) No turning in mid-air -- I must let go of the left analog stick every time Spidey's feet leave the ground or when he lets go of the swing, to prevent myself from altering his trajectory.
2) Turn in the direction of the web -- I must slightly turn Spidey to the direction where the web is sticking to, to simulate the real physics of a swinging pendulum.
By using the angle of the camera, I can choose where I want the web to go, and where the swing will take me, while using the Left Stick to control the swing speed and how narrow/wide the pendulum is going to be. With this simple change, the whole city comes alive, as you have to anticipate your swings, you start thinking like Spider-Man, planning how to use the details in the environment to your advantage, and feeling the responsibility of every swing
