Hey guys in this video coach Matt takes us through 5 tips for knee pain when squatting! We like to take the approach to always train through/around pain. Now that doesn't mean to make things worse, it just means find alternatives than NOT training at all. This of course is for acute knee pain and non specific pain. We love to throw in variation when it comes to squatting and knee pain so try these 3 variations out that Matt recommends. the pain squat or bow squat, tempo squats (my fave) or hatfield squats. Lastly Matt covers two additional programming points 1) being to take on a more deadlift specific program while knee pain is present, and the 2) being to try knee wraps and see if they help at all.
