More than 20,000 soldiers from 13 countries are taking part in the Nordic Response 2024 military exercises, which are being held in the northern regions of Finland, Norway and Sweden and will last for two weeks.
The Norwegian-led drills involve 4,000 soldiers from Finland, which joined Nato last April and shares an 830-mile border with Russia. Sweden is expected to formally become the 32nd member of Nato this month after Hungary dropped its objections to its bid.
