**NOTE**
YES they are on the same brightness. I accidentally recorded them on the wrong brightness before, deleted that video, and re-did the recording. YES the difference is huge. It's real! They were both on auto and 4 since I *never* mess with my brightness on any of my systems to begin with (because I like stock settings just fine). So I took it off of auto just in case. The brightness is 4 on both. No, setting them both to 5 isn't going to make a huge difference either.
I'll also remove comments that ignore that now. You're just being an idiot.
The 3DS on the left is a Fire Emblem Fates 3DSXL known for having a common top TN and bottom IPS screen setup. The right is a launch red 3DSXL with a top IPS and bottom TN screen setup (confirmed with 3dsident as well). I used Pokémon Sun and it's opening movie to show the differences. The bottom IPS is very obvious on the Fates 3DS because of how dark Solgaleo is. The IPS screen on top is obvious on the red 3DS because the color does not fade when viewed from any angle. This is the same for the bottom IPS and vice versa of course but the darker areas of the movie aren't on the top screen. IPS screens tend to make a mess of darker areas/pictures. This is where the TN screen excels. The IPS screens have more of a rich color in comparison. I'd say they're definitely my favorite.
