The talks between farmer unions and the government have failed to reach a breakthrough to end the deadlock over the three farm laws. The next round of talks is scheduled to take place on January 8.
In today's meet, sources revealed that the MSP continued to remain a flashpoint and discussions over guarantee for MSP will be taken forward. Meanwhile, farmers were still adamant on their demand to rollback the 3 laws and rejected govt's proposal to form a joint committee to reach a common ground.
However, after the meeting, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the Centre is ready for a clause by clause discussion and added that the talks will soon yield results.
