This shows that you should always check the numbers and recheck ...
In my opinion, Travelocity.com Sux!!!
THEY CHANGE THE PRICES ON YOU WHEN YOU GO TO PURCHASE!!!
Their prices and their customer service
The people (Customer Service Representatives) were nice and professional, but powerless... Nigel the Manager and Alan the Supervisor said there was nothing they could do ... I feel bad for them having to deal with me as it is not their fault and they were VERY! patient with me ... but they were made powerless by Travelocity to correct the situation.
They said that the airline was updating their prices ... well even if that is the case their website should show the latest price throughout. This video captured over 10 minutes after the 53:46 or 54 minute phone call ... so after an hour of the initial realization of the ripoff attempt... (all cache, history, cookies etc. cleared).
Most customers would likely accept this information as being plausible, not me.
DO NOT TAKE THEIR LINE OF B.S, IT IS LIES!!!!
I HATE IT WHEN BIG BUSINESS TRIES TO RIP OFF THEIR CUSTOMERS ... like going to buy a bag of rice at $1.50 and when getting to pay for it they say, No that will be $2.25. It is just not right. They refused to honor their price so I am letting you all know this.
I went to sidestep.com and they searched hotwire.com and found the same trip for under $1000 total ... less than $330/person WITH trip insurance and the price advertised was the price paid.
So I guess I should say Thanks to Travelocity (via redirecting me) and to Sidestep and to Hotwire for my affordable trip.
Just thought everyone should know.
