This is a promo that aired on CBS for it's upcoming Friday night programming schedule for the night of March 26, 1982. This aired during a halftime break during a fourth season episode of the 1979-93 drama "Knots Landing" on Thursday, March 25.
1. "The Dukes of Hazzard" (S4 E26; "The Law and Jesse Duke"): When Rosco (James Best) and Cletus (Rick Hurst) become fed up with Boss' refusal to give them a pay raise and overtime payments, they decide to go on strike. Jesse is appointed acting sheriff. Boss hires some crooks led by Alabama Jones (Melinda Naud) to steal TV sets from stores so that he can sell them at an inflated price, and he frames Bo (John Schneider) and Luke (Tom Wopat) for it. Now, Bo and Luke must clear their names, and outrun Jesse (Denver Pyle) at the same time. When Jesse figures out the scheme, he helps Bo and Luke go after the crooks.
2. "Dallas" (S5 E24: "The Investigation"): Bobby (Patrick Duffy) is in a difficult position when he is questioned by police about the extent of his involvement with Farraday. The family call Valene in California about Lucy (Charlene Tilton). Cliff (Ken Kercheval) realizes he is facing ruin and tries to borrow money from Sue Ellen (Linda Gray), which J.R. (Larry Hagman) uses to try to win Sue Ellen back. Donna (Susan Howard) is distressed at Miss Ellie's (Barbara Bel Geddes) continued coolness over Jock's death. Pam (Victoria Principal) remembers Lucy's concern about Roger and goes to his apartment with Bobby, where they rescue her. Bobby is contacted by underworld figures.
3. "Capitol": This is a preview episode of a new CBS soap that would be debuting on the CBS Daytime schedule the following Monday, March 29. It would replace the network's-and daytime's-oldest soap opera at the time, the 1951-86 sudser "Search For Tomorrow", which was moving to NBC that Monday as well. It should be noted that CBS aired it's final "Search" episode that Friday afternoon.
