Verdict:
The VW Golf set the standard for the hatchback market for a long time, every new Golf is an evolution of the previous model while maintaining the traditions.
This car gives you a feeling of safety and solidity when driving.
The Golf always stood out for it's comfort and versatility, it is no exception for the 6th generation because this vehicle surprised me in terms of ride comfort.
The interior gives you a premium feeling, materials last well, chrome bits are present, soft touch plastic all over the dashboard, upper part of front and rear doors.
There is however, cracking sounds coming from plastics when pressing some buttons or plastic parts so the feeling isn't as high end as in an Audi.
When it comes to handling, the Golf does a good job, it sticks to the road nicely offering you good grip even on aggressive inputs.
As of performance, despite being the least powerful engine available on the Golf mk6, the 1.4l naturally aspirated petrol engine surprised me in terms of performance,
it is punchy at mid RPM and feels like a turbo engine, It feels like it has more than 80hp... it is enough for the car but the power delivery is very linear so it lacks a bit of torque at low RPM.
This engine and the 1.6 8v mpi petrol engines are the most reliable engines available on the VW Golf 6.
