The US Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team does precision drill with the M1A1 Garand rifle. (These are fully functional rifles with steel bayonets, by the way.) In this routine, no commands are given and the team relies on grueling training to get all actions down to split-second accuracy. Note that at about 1 minute into the routine, one of the airmen loses a couple of objects from his uniform coat. Later in the routine, one of the airmen has the rifle momentarily slip through his fingers. Those are very minor glitches in an interesting and impressive performance. This performance occurred on August 24, 2012, at the US Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.
I shot this with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 digital camera and it is completely handheld.
