A set of human bones recovered from the wreckage of the Sewol-ho ferry have been confirmed to be one of the students considered missing since the ferry sank in 2014.
Officials said Friday that the remains found earlier this week went through numerous analyses by medical examiners and were confirmed to be those of a girl named Heo Da-yoon. The body's teeth were compared the student's dental records.
This is the second set of remains that identified since the search operation began.
The Sewol-ho ferry sank off the country's southwestern coast in April 2014 taking 304 lives which were mostly high school students out on a school trip.
