Team Singapore athletes Michelle Sng, Christopher Cheong and Sasha Christian came together to raise cancer awareness through pledging steps, as part of Team Singapore's initiative called "Athletes with Voices".
Using sport as a force for good, the athletes helped to raise awareness not just for patients, but also for Adolescents Young Adults and their caregivers.
A new Singapore national record for the most number of cumulative steps recorded by steppers in 8 hours was set, as athletes from athletics, football, netball, kickboxing, silat, squash, volleyball, canoeing, basketball, Jiu Jitsu, and shooting lent their support amongst many others.
The total number was 344,744 after 8 hours, a new Singapore record.
